This is a key role within our creative team at Arla´s in-house agency, The Barn. We are a multidisciplinary agency working across global FMCG brands in a setup that brings together data, strategy, creative, production and media.
We operate as a network agency of 180 people, with our global hub in Aarhus (around 100 people), closely connected to local teams across Europe and MENA.
You’ll play a role in shaping how creativity shows up across Arla globally, and how our brands stay relevant in a fast-changing, culturally driven landscape.
How You Will Make An Impact
As our new Associate Creative Director, you will be responsible for driving the creative quality across key brands, ensuring that ideas don’t get diluted as they move through a complex organisation. You set direction and push for clarity, based on your expertise on bringing work to life across touchpoints, on social first campaigns anchored in culture. The role requires someone who can balance creative ambition with executional reality – someone who can lead teams, build strong arguments, and move work forward even when the path isn’t straightforward. Your impact is being visible through the strength of the work, the clarity of direction setting, and your ability to make creativity land in a system that doesn’t always make it easy.
What you’ll do
- Lead creative development from brief to final execution across campaigns and platforms, with specific focus on social first work and creator integration
- Set clear creative direction and push the work to a level that stands out – for the team and towards client
- Own the creative perspective across a group of brands and projects
- Collaborate with strategy to shape clear and inspiring creative briefs that sets the bar for business impact and consumer relevance.
- Navigate a global setup with multiple stakeholders and markets – and keep focus on what matters
- Present work and build argumentation that holds up in demanding conversations
- Guide and mentor multiple creative teams, setting the standard and guiding them to deliver stronger work and grow their craft - without formal people management responsibility.
We’re looking for someone with strong creative judgement and the ability to lead in a multifaceted environment. Preferably with experience working in different markets and or in international environments.
We imagine that you bring
- 10+ years of experience from agency or in-house creative environments
- A strong creative track record across brand building, campaign development and social first creative
- The ability to create ideas and executions that are distinctive, relevant and effective on today´s media landscape
- Experience leading creative work and guiding teams hands on
- Confidence in presenting and discussing work with senior stakeholders
- International experience and understanding of how brands operate across markets
- Fluent professional English - written and spoken
