Technical Support Manager - #393712

For the PPG Protective Coatings department in Nordics, we are looking for a result oriented and self-driven Technical Support Manager to join our Nordics Team.

You will be part of a strong European technical team that provides onsite and remote technical support to customers and PPG associates. You will advise during surface preparation and application of PPG products, as well as assessment of the performance of the applied coating system in service.

By advising and monitoring the actual coating conditions on site, the team plays a key role in the successful performance of the applied coating system.

You will have travel days, mainly within Denmark. Exact traveling days depends on project locations and can vary over the year.

Depending on your location, you will be working from your home office. This could also be your daily starting point.

Key Responsibilities

Remote support:

• Maintain/update customer specifications
• Direct technical support to the sales team and customers
  
  

On Site Support:

• Provide technical advice and support
• Provide theoretical/practical trainings
• Confirm whether the specified standards & technical requirements are followed
• Participate and conduct test applications of new and existing coatings
• Monitor and report the actual standards and application conditions
• Provide feedback from the field
  
  

Qualifications

• You are certified as Surface Treatment Inspector NS 476 level III or NACE Coating Inspector
• You have good knowledge of ISO12944/NORSOK M-501 standards
• You are experienced in coating inspection and QC work
• You are fluent in Danish. Both orally and in writing
• You have good command of English
• You must hold a driver´s license (category B)
