We are seeking a Finance Data Lead to join our rapidly growing scale-up. This new role has been created to address the need for stronger data control and quality assurance, particularly to support billing accuracy, Accounts Receivable (AR), Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and management reporting. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, creating reports, and providing data-driven insights to enable more accurate financial processes and decision-making.
This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Main Responsibilities
- Data Integrity Assurance:
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used for client invoicing and self-billing processes.
- Work closely with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure data used for account reconciliation is reliable and accurate.
- Support FP&A and management by providing quality data for in-depth analysis.
- Data Extraction & Reporting:
- Extract, manipulate, and provide data to support the Accounts Receivable team with client queries and account reconciliations.
- Develop and provide reports to support group reporting processes.
- Provide ad-hoc data and reports to the CFO and management on company performance, sales trends, and financial metrics.
- Enable detailed financial analysis through accurate data sets, helping to drive strategic decisions.
- Database Management & Querying:
- Utilize your technical skills to ensure the smooth extraction, indexing, and organization of financial data across various databases.
- Create and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and reporting, ensuring accuracy and speed.
- Manage and improve the database structure, ensuring links, indices, and relationships are properly established for efficiency.
- Cross-functional Support:
- Act as a bridge between finance and other departments by providing essential data support.
- Collaborate with the AR team, FP&A, and management to ensure data quality is maintained across various financial processes.
- Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in a data-driven role, ideally with exposure to finance, accounting, or FP&A functions.
- Strong background in data extraction, reporting, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Experience with tools and technologies such as SQL (queries), Python, Metabase, and Power BI for reporting and data analysis.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying databases, as well as experience with Python for automation or data manipulation.
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or Metabase for creating dynamic reports and dashboards.
- Good understanding of database structures, including indexing and linking, to optimize performance and reporting accuracy.
- Experience working with data extracted from ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), including familiarity with its structure and reporting outputs.
- Finance Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of finance processes, including billing, accounts receivable, financial analysis, and group reporting.
- Knowledge of key financial metrics and how to manipulate data for FP&A purposes.
- Personal Attributes:
