Join us as a Quality Assurance Engineer

Please note: The applicant must be a resident of China, have Chinese as their native language, and be fluent in English.

We are currently recruiting Quality Assurance Engineers (QAE) for a newly created position in our office located in Hangzhou, China.

In this crucial role, you will be involved from the project startup phase and hold overall responsibility for production once product specifications, customer expectations, and supplier details have been outlined by the buying team in Denmark.

As a QAE, you will also be responsible for conducting factory audits prior to product selection.

You will follow the project, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards as well as customer expectations.

Join our dynamic furniture department at Schou in Denmark and collaborate closely with our QC team in Hangzhou.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform factory audits
• Take responsibility for product development once requirements are clear and the supplier is chosen by the Denmark buying team
• Review samples, update the product development report
• Approve samples, sign the report, ensure supplier keeps the sales reference sample
• Create and have the supplier sign the Product Handbook
• Perform pilot runs, drive necessary improvements
• Analyze root causes of process variance or customer complaints
• Ensure ongoing compliance with root cause analysis follow-up
• Work with the buying team to optimize product cost, manufacturing efficiency, and quality
• Continuously test products and ensure suppliers meet customer standards
  
  

Position requirements:

• Experience in furniture industry (indoor/outdoor) and with Chinese factories
• Hands-on working style
• Furniture experience and knowledge of RoHs standard are preferred
• Frequent travel required
• Flexible, hardworking, structured, good communication skills, and commercial understanding
• Proficient in English (oral and written)
• Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  
  

Working conditions:

• The office is located in Hangzhou, with most work conducted at factories
• Organizational accountability lies with the Chief Representative in our Hangzhou office, while daily task supervision will be under our Product Manager for Indoor Furniture, based in Denmark
• There are no staff responsibilities associated with this position
