Sustainability Coordinator

Samsøe Samsøe is looking for a Sustainability Coordinator to join our Sustainability team. The team is part of our Product Department and is responsible for managing and executing Samsøe Samsøe’s company-wide Sustainability Strategy. Its primary focus is to ensure our ambitious sustainability goals are achieved by integrating and embedding the strategy into the company’s daily operations and value chain.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

You will report to the Head of Sustainability and be responsible for delivering on various sustainability projects, with a specific focus on - but not limited to - Supply Chain Traceability, Responsible Sourcing and Social Compliance.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing processes for social compliance
• Developing sustainability aspects of suppliers as well as their implementation in existing or new tools
• Organizing social compliance audits of suppliers both with internal colleagues as well as external service providers and management of audit results of suppliers
• Managing Traceability of all products, by collecting and verifying data in existing or new tools
• Developing assets for supplier training and internal engagement
• Project managing several Sustainability projects, from initiation of strategy to execution
• Managing data collection systems and analytics tools for sustainability, to ensure reports are up to date and relevant
• Managing partnerships with the relevant third-party certification bodies to ensure we are meeting the standards
• Cooperation with external stakeholders and networks with service providers, suppliers, associations, organizations and competitors

QUALIFICATIONS

The role requires a strong understanding of Sustainability principles and relevant experience working with a specific focus on Supply Chain Social Responsibility and Traceability.

• 1-2 years’ relevant experience in corporate sustainability, preferably in fashion, working with Sustainability and / or Product Development
• Education in relevant field (Sustainable Development, Business Management, Supply Chain Management)
• Strong affinity for working with data, systems and processes
• Very good MS Office skills, delivering high-quality outcomes through a structured, analytical and data-supported approach
• Organized with project management skills, as well as great rigor in synthesis, precision, and analysis
• Strong ability to prioritize, provide clear directions and multi-task
• Strong communicator, and team player, you must be comfortable in managing and leading projects involving different internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent English language skills, oral and written

This is a one-year contract, based at the Head Office in Copenhagen.
