About your future role

As our new Project Controller, you will join our Project Team under Issuing Finance. In the team we are overall responsible for budgeting, tracking, and reporting on our Issuing project portfolio consisting of both larger and smaller projects. We are based in Ballerup, but with a hybrid way of working (3+ days at the office a week).

We are a small team that values trust, open and honest communication, mutual feedback and a proactive hands-on way of working. We believe in having individual responsibility areas but succeeding as a team.

As a Project Controller you are motivated to analyse and understand numbers to drive efficiency and create economic overview. You have an analytical mindset and an eye for details, but at the same time an ability to maintain overview and focus on what is most important.

You possess critical thinking and enjoy to both challenge and work closely with our stakeholders in the organisation (i.e. other Finance teams, the Product area and IT). You have an independent drive and a proactive can-do mindset, while at the same time being a team player.

Your key responsibilities in this role will be:

  • Partner with stakeholders in Products and IT to analyse and resolve financial deviations, supporting data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Enhance executive visibility and portfolio performance through effective project and portfolio reporting.
  • Identify and implement efficiency gains across projects, such as optimising vendor contracts and improving capacity utilisation, to maximise return on investment.
  • Provide robust financial input for business cases by assessing and challenging cost estimations, helping prioritise initiatives with the highest value impact.
  • Ensure strong governance and risk management by maintaining adherence to group financial policies and frameworks across all project-related activities.
