Your Future Role

As a Fleet Planning Manager you will play a crucial role in mobilising the maintenance operations for the new DSB IC5 trains commencing in 2026. You will work closely with diverse teams across the business (Operations, Industrial, Supply chain, Sourcing, Engineering), planning and setting up the fleet management organisation, and much more.

Your responsibilities will include taking care of building up the fleet management organisation together with also planning the activities for the mobilisation of the maintenance operation.

We will look to you for:

  • Ensure effective and efficient planning of the maintenance activities of the train fleet in the depots to deliver clean, available reliable and safe trains for service both long-term and short term
  • Define & Implement project fleet strategy to fit with customer contractual availability requirements
  • Manage the day-to-day contact with customer regarding service provision of the trains
  • Manage depot plan ensuring all customer, safety and reliability issues are deliverable and agreed within the restrictions of the available resource and facility
  • Optimize the depot usage and coordinate train movement in the depot
  • Ensure real time customer support and that important train defects are efficiently managed
  • Develop and maintain interfaces with other functional areas within the business in particular operations, to improve efficiency and ensure the right capacity
  • Manage the fleet management team, including team member selection and development
  • Planning and updating the planning as needed for the activities for the mobilisation of the maintenance operation, which includes the preparation of two depots for maintenance

About You

  • Proven experience in production planning management with a track record of high standards and productivity
  • Experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience or understanding of the railway industry or other transportation/travel industries
  • Strong initiative-taking and collaborative skills to achieve common goals
  • Excellent communication, listening, presentation, and writing skills
  • Speaking and Understanding English and Danish
