In the Social Impact team (SI), we’re focused on creating meaningful impact for children in our communities – online and offline – and bringing value for our business. We’re joining forces with children, parents, caregivers and educators, our employees, partners, experts, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to unleash the power of play so children can thrive and build a better world.
As the head of the Social Impact, Strategy & Operations team, you play a critical role in enabling the Social Impact leadership team and organization to be successful. Your role and focus will span across strategy, owning the implementation of our ONE Social Impact strategy and Aspiration and leading annual strategy and planning processes, impact, owning the implementation and evaluation of our Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) framework, and operations, ensuring smooth operational support across SR and ensure timely reporting as per annual processes in the LEGO Group.
Core Responsibilities
This role is dependent upon a close and inclusive collaboration with the SI LT and all teams across SI as well as teams such as Brand, PMD, GPA, CBC etc. to ensure there is buy in to and our portfolio aligns with strategic direction, that our work is impactful, creating shared value for communities and the LEGO Group alike, and that the operational support is consistently improved.

Core Responsibilities
- Strategy
- Lead the delivery of ONE Social Impact Strategy (OSIS) across all themes and enabling workstreams to ensure a holistic approach; responsible for deliveries to SteerCo and Executive Leadership Team sponsors. This also includes focus on creating shared value and supporting the continued embedding of Social into the LEGO Group. See more below regarding evaluation.
- Lead the delivery of the SI Aspiration through a revised SI portfolio. This also includes mering OSIS, Aspiration and current work into one during 2026.
- Own and ensure highly efficient annual planning processes, including delivery of annual plans, forecasting and target setting, budget, and headcounts for SI. This also includes reporting on critical metrics and budget as per LEGO Group annual processes. As part of this, ensure ongoing optimization of ways of working, processes, systems, and tools, that teams across SI are supported throughout annual planning process and that LT has full awareness of enable quality decision-making.
- Drive partnerships at three levels i) internal (GPA, CBC, PMD, Brand etc. – where cut-across multiple SI teams; Brand excepted), ii) across the LEGO ecosystem (primarily the LEGO Foundation), and iii) external (strategic partners, e.g., Save the Children, UNICEF – where cut-across multiple SI teams). Across all, it will be key to ensure alignment with OSIS and Aspiration, and to ensure a consistent approach to partners.
- For the LEGO Foundation in particular, this role will be responsible for maintaining a close and effortless partnership with clear governance, ways of working and grant processes incl. budget across calendar years.
- Drive strategic storytelling with Corporate Brand Communications to position social impact work internally and externally.
- Impact
- Lead the roll-out and evaluation of a Theory of Change and a MEL framework to ensure a shared understanding of the impact we aim to achieve – for SI and the LEGO Group, a consistent approach to how we measure and learn across SI and beyond and a clear overview of progress. This will be done in close dialogue and collaboration with LEGO Foundation and LEGO Education to ensure an aligned approach and building on findings across the LEGO ecosystem.
- Be responsible for the establishment of a systematic approach to country and market analysis to ensure our work delivers on community issues. This will advise initiative work across SI.
- Scan, map and guide on social trends globally as well as with regional specificities to inform OSIS and Aspiration as well as functions across the LEGO Group.
- Operations
- Supervise SI input into reporting and ensure reporting is aligned with ESG requirements.
- Establish and drive a portfolio management ‘system’ to ensure a coherent SI portfolio that delivers according to our MEL framework and in line with OSIS and Aspiration.
- Manage product donations, in close dialogue with program colleagues across SI.
- Across all, enable the Leadership Team to have full visibility of impact and progress across portfolio as per strategy and set targets to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Manage, develop, and build the Social Impact, Strategy & Ops team to enable SI to deliver on OSIS and Aspiration.
- As part of the Social Impact Leadership Team, contribute to setting direction for Social Impact as one team, and help us deliver on OSIS and Aspiration.

Do you have what it takes?
- Seasoned leader with demonstrable experience working in a global organization (corporate/consultancy).
- Solid experience with strategy development including shared value, monitoring, evaluation and learning and operational support from a global business/organisation.
- Strong partner leadership skills to work holistically across SI, the LEGO Group and with external partners.
