As an Embedded Software Engineer specializing in wireless communication, you will be designing and maintaining our extensive portfolio of RF-based products, all built on robust embedded software platforms. Your primary focus will be on Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN), where you will play a key role in designing and optimizing solutions that enable reliable and energy-efficient connectivity.

Reporting directly to the Head of Heat/Cooling Hardware, you will join our Embedded Software team – an experienced group of 10 skilled and self-driven colleagues. The team is known for its open culture, strong team spirit, and proactive, can-do attitude. Together, we are dedicated to developing and optimizing communication for our smart meters and low-level infrastructure components.
You will join a department that values both personal and professional development, where you’ll be entrusted with responsibility, given the freedom to act, and offered plenty of opportunities for collaboration and sparring.

Here Is What The Job Entails
As an Embedded Software Engineer specializing in wireless communication, you will be designing and maintaining our extensive portfolio of RF-based products, all built on robust embedded software platforms. Your primary focus will be on Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN), where you will play a key role in designing and optimizing solutions that enable reliable and energy-efficient connectivity.
More specifically you will be:
- Developing low-level embedded software in C or C++, both with and without an operating system, including hardware-near programming and measurements on low-power MCUs
- Designing and implementing communication protocols and protocol stacks within the LPWAN domain
- Writing unit tests in C/C++ and developing test scripts in Python to ensure software quality
- Contributing to secure communication features and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
- Working with a professional toolchain including GitLab, code formatters, static code analysis, AI components, various frameworks, and automated testing

- Hold a B.Sc. or similar degree in electronic engineering, software engineering, or a related field

- Approach tasks with curiosity, initiative, and a strong sense of ownership
