Do you thrive on working with modern technologies and practices in a role where your decisions leave a lasting mark? Are you motivated by leading architectural direction while staying close to the code and supporting your colleagues in building high-quality software?

Here Is What The Job Entails

In the role as our next Frontend Software Architect, you will take a key role in both shaping the architectural direction and actively implementing new features within our Smart Water platform. This is a balanced role where you both will be dedicated to hands-on development as a part of a dedicated scrum team, while focusing on defining and evolving frontend architecture and best practices across teams and departments.

More specifically you will be:

  • Owning and driving the technical backlog for frontend development
  • Supporting and guiding frontend developers across teams
  • Leading cross-team frontend and architecture initiatives
  • Shaping and maturing our shared frontend libraries and frameworks
  • Contributing directly to feature development

You will be hands-on when needed, but your main focus will be on creating structure, ensuring alignment, and helping teams deliver high-quality software efficiently. Your work will have a direct impact on how we deliver modern digital experiences to water utilities worldwide—turning technical decisions into real, long-term value.

Meet your future team

You will join the FlowIQ team, which consists of over 40 software professionals located in Denmark, Ukraine, and Spain. We are responsible for developing Kamstrup’s Smart Water digital platform—enabling utilities around the world to reduce water loss, optimize operations, and manage their networks with real-time sensor data. We work in agile teams with a modern DevOps setup, frequent releases, and a tight feedback loop with users.

Did you know? Your future Team Manger once has beaten the world famous cyclists Peter Sagan in a sprint.

Less About Us, More About You

We are looking for an experienced frontend professional who is ready to set direction and support others, while also being hands-on in implementing new features. You thrive in technical discussions, prioritize scalable and maintainable design, and excel at translating complex requirements into robust frontend architecture.

In order to succeed, we imagine that you:

  • Have minimum five years of experience as a senior frontend developer or architect
  • Are fluent in the latest frontend technologies (React, Next.js, etc.)
  • Understand CI/CD pipelines, agile software development, and scalable microservices
  • Bring experience from international tech organizations

As we are an international organization it is important that you are fluent in English.

While you may not meet all the qualifications listed above, you could still be a good candidate for the position. If you find the role intriguing, do not hesitate to apply.

We are more than an ordinary workplace

We cherish the good colleagueship which we all contribute to, the only limit is your engagement. As we are a big organization you are bound to find one or more colleagues who share the same interest as you. This might be in our board game club, on our cycling team, during our yearly summer festival, or on the padel court. For example, our Team lead, Service Delivery is also our volunteer padel instructor while one of our Software Test Engineers run weekly spinning classes.

Besides the best colleagues you could imagine, we also offer:

  • Work life balance through flexible working hours
  • Employee benefits including a healthy canteen, fitness facilities, in-house dental clinic, hairdresser, and a free health clinic
  • An active employee association that fosters a collaborative and supportive workplace community
  • Beneficial health care and insurance package
