Could you be the full-time Mechanical Installation Design Engineer in Copenhagen, Denmark, we’re looking for?

You'll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing state-of-the-art mechanical solutions for Denmark's ambitious railway network upgrade. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as electrical, installation, and methods engineering), coordinate technical activities, and support the installation team, among other responsibilities.
You’ll specifically take care of designing mechanical solutions (primarily sheet metal) and producing technical documentation, but also ensure the alignment of designs with installation constraints and manage updates during the first installation phase.

Your future role

You'll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing state-of-the-art mechanical solutions for Denmark's ambitious railway network upgrade. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as electrical, installation, and methods engineering), coordinate technical activities, and support the installation team, among other responsibilities.
You’ll specifically take care of designing mechanical solutions (primarily sheet metal) and producing technical documentation, but also ensure the alignment of designs with installation constraints and manage updates during the first installation phase.
We’ll look to you for:
- Identifying environmental features and system constraints through surveys
- Choosing installation concepts and components
- Designing mechanical solutions and creating 2D drawings
- Coordinating with electrical and method engineers to meet deadlines
- Uploading designs and specifications in PLM tools
- Providing technical support to installation teams and suppliers
- Conducting Design to Cost analysis
- Participating in tool development
- Following up on the execution of the first installation (FoC) and making necessary adjustments
- Updating designs and documentation based on modifications made during the FoC

- Engineering Degree, master’s, or equivalent in a technical field (mechanics, electro-mechanics) or equivalent experience in an industrial environment
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., INVENTOR or similar)
- Knowledge of 2D drawings, sheet metal design, and welding
- Knowledge of electrical systems and methods
- Experience with PLM tools (e.g., ENOVIA or similar)
- Familiarity with standard IT tools (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Strong communication skills and ability to represent the company to customers
- A rigorous, reliable, and autonomous mindset
- Speaking and Understanding English
- A valid driver’s license, as travel will be required during the preliminary design and installation phases
