Turning operational excellence into a meaningful global people experience.

At Trackunit, we believe people are the foundation of our organizational growth. We’re looking for a Team Lead in People Operations who thrives on building systems that scale, connects business strategy to operational excellence, and enables people and the organization to grow together.

You will work as a team lead with operational responsibilities in an international context, set a clear strategic direction, collaborate with many different stakeholders, and focus on delivering impactful people solutions at scale. This is your opportunity to build the backbone of how People Operations supports Trackunit’s global growth — from process design to system optimization to insight-driven decision-making.

This is a key role for an experienced people professional who thrives on building systems and structure, enabling people, and using data and systems to scale people practices globally.

With locations in the hearts of Aarhus and Aalborg, we offer you a flexible setup with the possibility to work from one of these locations. No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

What’s in it for you?

  • We're a People & Talent team of 12 across Denmark, Canada, and Germany — from culture and operations to business partnering and our colleagues in the canteen. We’re all about delivering a quality experience to the organization — and having fun while we do it!
  • A place in an agile growth SaaS business, with possibilities to grow internally in the company. We are moving quickly, so fasten your seat belt and prepare to adjust. Back in 2020 we were 150 employees at Trackunit and we have just passed 450 employees.
  • International environment with regular check-ins and social events across teams, departments and borders.
  • We take your personal and professional development goals seriously and we support them through training, coaching and mindfulness as well as with an open feedback culture to enable you to identify your strengths and opportunities. We do this by touching upon your impact on our triple focus: impacting yourself, impacting teams/relations and impacting the organisation/strategy.
  • Flexibility and hybrid working is not just a cliché to us or something we state in a job posting. We do offer you a flexible setup and believe that you best can structure how your routines look like. And once you have chosen how you work best, let us know what you need: we got you covered with the IT equipment you need for your work.
  • Turning the Tide. At Trackunit, we aim to create and contribute to an inclusive workplace. And this priority starts with our hiring - we do not discriminate on the basis of gender identity, sexual orientation, personal expression, ethnicity, religious belief, or disability status. We only assess candidates on their qualifications and merit. Learn more about TIDE and other DE&I initiatives here.

Who are you ideally?

A team leader with practical execution skills and a builder mindset: You see systems and processes as key enablers of strategy. You lead by connecting the big picture with operational execution and thrive on creating clarity and structure that scales.

You’ll work with a range of different stakeholders and create the link between our current operational state and the desired future one, creating concrete solutions with impact across the organization.

  • Solid HR leadership experience with a track record of building systems and processes at scale in an international setting.
  • A passion for people leadership — you care deeply about coaching, enabling, and developing others to grow and succeed.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a small team with responsibilities spanning goal-setting, performance support, and professional development.
  • Proficient data literacy and the ability to turn insights into action. You use data to guide decisions, improve processes, and align stakeholders.
  • Effective stakeholder and communication skills. You simplify complexity, build effective relationships, and communicate with intent.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as HiBob and global People operations. You know how to scale systems and processes across countries with flexibility and compliance.

Don't meet every single requirement? No worries - this is what we're looking for ideally, but if you're particularly drawn to this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification, we encourage you to apply.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Team leadership and development: Leading, coaching, and developing People Operations Specialists, aligning priorities, removing blockers, and cultivating growth and excellence across geographies.
  • Maturing & scaling people operations: Translate business stategy into delivering scalable, compliant, and people-& business integrated processes and systems that enable organizational growth and maturity.
  • People systems & optimization: Manage the continued development and adoption of our HRIS (HiBob), enabling smarter and automated workflows, quality of data, and an enhanced employee experience.
  • Policy, governance & compliance: Ensure that company policies and processes are up to date, compliant, and scalable for a growing international business, while evolving our core people processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and scalability across regions.
  • Compensation and benefit. Own and evolve our global compensation and benefits frameworks to ensure they are fair, competitive, and aligned with Trackunit’s ambitions.
  • People data & analytics: Drive the creation and delivering of actionable insights through dashboards and reporting - helping the business making informed decisions.
  • The Trackunit Way: Over time, you’ll become an advocate for The Trackunit Way - our shared approach to how we work, collaborate, and lead in a fast-growing SaaS environment. It’s something we all contribute to and are accountable for. It reflects who we are and how we show up, every day, across the company.

Our hiring process

We’ll be taking some well-deserved downtime from late July to early/mid August. So if you’re waiting to hear from us during that time, no need to worry.

Also, don't waste your time on writing the best possible cover letter for the job. We want you to create an impact that matters, and that's not in the cover letter.

  • Virtual meet and greet with colleagues in our Operations team & Chief People Officer, Martin Darré, who will also be your leader.
  • Personality-based interview. You will be asked to fill out an online personality assessment using use Hogan prior to the interview. Our Hogan assessment enables us to understand your abilities and how you align with our team culture. Instead of seeking 'appropriate' responses, the priority is to develop a meaningful exchange that illustrates your synergy with the Trackunit team.
  • Assignment-specific interview. We want you to get an insight into some of the concrete work tasks or projects related to the role. You will be given a case to prepare prior to the interview, and at the interview, you will present the case to relevant colleagues from People & Talent, who you’ll also work closely with in the job.
  • If needed, throughout the process we will obtain references from former employers and do background checks for level specific, if you have not provided these yourself.
  • Offer presentation and walk-through. We’re lucky to have you!
