ESG Reporting Specialist
Impact Fund Denmark (formerly IFU)

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented ESG Reporting Specialist to join our Finance team in Copenhagen.
You will report to the Head of Finance and work closely with the Finance Manager of Reporting, as well as the Sustainability & Impact team. This is a key role in strengthening our ESG reporting capabilities and ensuring compliance with evolving sustainability disclosure frameworks and regulations while also meeting reporting requirements from investors.

The Position & Your Responsibilities
As ESG Reporting Specialist, you will play a central role in preparing and enhancing our ESG reporting, sustainability data governance and ESG forecasting. The role will focus on ensuring reporting compliance as well as strengthening our ability to harness ESG data and transform it into actionable insights that drive organizational progress.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the preparation of ESG reports in alignment with international norms and standards (for example Impact Frontiers impact performance reporting norms, IFRS/ESRS standards and SFDR disclosure templates).
- Collaborating with finance, legal, and sustainability and impact teams to integrate ESG into corporate reporting.
- Ensuring sustainability data quality, traceability, and audit readiness across ESG dimensions and metrics.
- Assisting on developing ESG and sustainability systems and applications in collaboration with our Technology department.
- Supporting external assurance processes and liaising with auditors.
- Monitoring regulatory developments and advising ESG reporting implications.
- Facilitate the audit process and assurance of ESG reporting
Your Qualifications
The ideal candidate has the following qualifications and experience:
- Have 5+ years of experience with ESG reporting and sustainability assurance, with background or training as a financial auditor.
- Possess strong knowledge of international and EU sustainability reporting frameworks (IFRS S1 and S2, SFDR, ESRS, and related frameworks (e.g. GHG Protocol, TCFD, TNFD)).
- Able to structure and develop reporting processes around non-financial data.
- Are structured, analytical, detail-oriented and have strong ability and interest in managing numeric data.
- Proven-track record in being able to write in English in a concise and focused manner on sustainability topics.
- If you have a certification or formal training within ESG reporting it is plus.
