Whey is AFI’s main raw material and at the core of our business, therefor whey quality impact the whole value chain. AFI is growing and we need an additional global quality colleague. As our Global QEHS Whey Business Partner, you will be a vital member of the global whey quality team, acting as the essential link between our global and local whey teams in the UK and Argentina. Your mission is to foster the quality mindset, and drive strategic improvements. Your key responsibilities will include
The position is based in our global HQ in Aarhus, Denmark, and you can expect approximately 40 travel days per year, primarily between the UK and Denmark (6-8 trips/year) and occasional visits to Argentina (1-2 trips/year).

- Establishing and ensuring the implementation of robust quality standards related to whey.
- Developing and maintaining detailed specifications for whey.
- Supporting and collaborating with production sites in the UK and Argentina to address whey quality challenges and opportunities.
- Ensuring effective escalation and management of incidents and changes affecting whey quality.
- Promoting and championing a strong whey quality culture at our sites in the UK and Argentina.
- Conducting and supporting audit activities of new and existing whey suppliers and strategically aligning them with AFI’s objectives.
- Defining and driving the whey quality strategy for AFI.

What Will Make You Successful
We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in quality management within the food industry, ideally with experience in dairy and whey production. To thrive in this role, you should bring
- A minimum of five years’ experience in the food industry, preferably within dairy production.
- Solid understanding of production processes and quality assurance.
- Experience in quality audits, with the ability to assess and improve supplier performance.
- Project management skills, with a proven track record of driving progress and delivering results.
- Knowledge of microbiology and its application in food safety and quality.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English, enabling you to build relationships across cultures and functions.
- Preferably communication skills in Spanish.
- A proactive and independent approach, with the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
- Strong team orientation, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Willingness and curiosity to learn and adapt in a dynamic, international environment.
- Fluency in English is required; Spanish language skills are a plus.
