About The Job

We are looking for a new Junior Project Manager for the Carlsberg CAPEX Engineering team in Supply Chain, Fredericia.

Together with your colleagues, you will ensure the right use of our project toolbox (stage gate model), contribute to the development of best practices, and ensure knowledge sharing.

The projects you will be working on are supply chain CAPEX projects within Processing and Automation, Facility, Utility, and H&S projects. You will be a part of a local organization in an international context, where you will be working with experienced colleagues from different departments within operations and administration across the Carlsberg Group. You will get a wide-ranging interface and an opportunity to create a unique network for your further career through your responsibility area. Your primary work location will be at our brewery in Fredericia.

Your responsibilities

Your primary tasks will be to manage projects based on our 8-step Stage-gate model and ensure a high level of quality in execution as to develop the scope, time, resources, and costs in the development of the projects. This includes:

  • Developing and managing project scope, risk, budgets, resources, schedules, and progress tracking according to our CAPEX Project 8-step Model.
  • Ensuring that projects are delivered in alignment with Carlsberg governance principles both on local and group levels (Budgeting, COA, Procurement, legal and contracting policies).
  • Organizing, motivating, and governing your project team in close collaboration with line management.
  • Risk management of the projects in close collaboration with team members, including presenting decision points to the Steering Committee based on facts and needs.
  • Conveying information to internal and external key stakeholders both in written and verbal format.
  • Supporting Carlsberg’s technology development and competitiveness by leading or participating in feasibility studies and preparation of business cases.
  • Developing and aligning detailed project sourcing strategies, tenders, negotiations, and contract execution in collaboration with Procurement.
  • Managing project changes through the right change management processes.
  • Handling project communication among the project team, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
  • Implementing and commissioning new production equipment (process and packaging) and facilities (building & utilities).
  • Creating and managing project construction plans including clear H&S plans.
  • Contractor management and site management.
  • Knowledge sharing through post-implementation reporting.
  • Acting as assistant project manager on large/complex CAPEX projects.
  • Providing safety leadership on projects, driving a safety culture with a target of Zero accidents.
  • Supporting functional managers in the RFA process for low-complex projects.

Your Qualifications And Experience

We are looking for a Junior Project Manager who can own and be committed to projects and statements. Experience within CAPEX project management is not a requirement, but relevant experience from other jobs or educational background is highly weighted.

In addition to that, we imagine that you:

  • Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Production, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Have project work experience from study-related projects, internships, or relevant experience within supply chain operations.
  • Have simple project management training.
  • Have proficient analytical skills and a structured approach.
  • Have curiosity in finding solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Are fluent in Danish and English, written and oral.
