The Australian National University (ANU) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in the field of experimental quantum nanophotonics with optical metasurfaces. The successful candidate will join the Research School of Physics and contribute to cutting-edge research as part of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Transformative Meta-Optical Systems (TMOS).
Key Responsibilities
– Conduct original research in experimental quantum nanophotonics and optical metasurfaces, integrating both experimental investigations and theoretical modeling.
– Publish innovative research findings in leading peer-reviewed journals and present at academic seminars and national/international conferences.
– Collaborate with TMOS researchers and external partners to advance the field of meta-optics.
Requirements
– A PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Quantum Science, or related discipline.
– Demonstrated expertise in experimental and theoretical investigations in quantum optics, nanophotonics, or metasurfaces.
– Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
– Evidence of research excellence and productivity.
– Commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
