Our Group Strategy and M&A team plays a key role in shaping Danfoss’ strategic direction, acting as trusted partners to business leaders and supporting the development of a high-performing, future-ready portfolio. Projects range from divisional strategy development — enabling turnarounds, growth, or divestments — to cross-divisional initiatives defining joint strategies for specific applications or industries. Additionally, we contribute to commercial due diligence and strategic support for M&A activities

The team consists of international colleagues from management consulting, corporate strategy, financial services, and internal career paths. We foster a collaborative, supportive culture, regularly arranging social activities and prioritizing professional growth. The position is based in our Copenhagen office, with occasional travel to Danfoss headquarters in Nordborg, Als, or other company locations. You will report to the Senior Director for Business Strategy and M&A Consultancy.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities
As a (Senior) Strategy Consultant, you will play a central role in supporting and delivering strategic projects across Danfoss’ business units. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Project Planning: Define project objectives, scope, and structure by identifying and framing key business issues.
  • Project Management: Lead workstreams, facilitate collaboration, and build effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Project Execution:
    • Conduct structured analyses, including market research, data analysis, financial modelling, and story-lining.
    • Prepare and facilitate workshops involving a broad range of stakeholders.
    • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Contribute to building a strong internal strategy function by sharing expertise, supporting recruitment processes, mentoring junior colleagues, and participating in knowledge development.

Background & Skills
We imagine you hold a relevant degree in business, economics, or STEM with strong results. While a technical background (e.g., in mechanical or electrical engineering) is appreciated, it is not required

To Succeed In This Role, You Bring
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in strategy — ideally from a consulting firm, corporate strategy function, or other relevant positions.
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured, problem-solving mindset.
  • Curiosity, drive, and a proactive approach to tackling diverse challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, international environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written (Danish is not required).
