The University of Ottawa invites applications for PhD and Master’s positions in the field of Secure Networked Control Systems. Successful candidates will participate in cutting-edge research focused on secure estimation, control, and decision-making in distributed control systems, particularly those operating under adversarial conditions.

Research Objectives Include

• Development of algorithms for detecting and identifying cyber-attacks in networked control systems
• Analysis of trade-offs between control performance, optimality, and system resilience to attacks
• Quantification of resources and knowledge required to compromise control systems and evaluation of attack impacts
  
  

Requirements

• Strong academic background in systems and control theory, and applied mathematics
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a strong interest in research related to secure control systems
