We’re looking for an Activation Director to head up one of our cross-channel activation units (Search, Social & Programmatic) and accelerate growth for some of the most ambitious brands in the Nordics. You will lead a 25-plus team of specialists including both senior and team leaders, and ensure that we not only activate brilliantly, but also build the next generation of activation services in close collaboration with our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Activation Team Inspire and manage a team of +25 specialists across Search, Social and Programmatic, including senior & Team Leads. Build a culture rooted in deep channel expertise, proactive mindset and strong accountability.
  • Deliver Operational & Commercial Excellence Own the end-to-end activation setup – from in-channel planning and tooling to execution and optimisation. Ensure delivery meets the highest standards while driving profitable growth.
  • Shape the Future of Activation Evolve our activation services in close collaboration with clients. Identify new opportunities, translate innovation into execution, and position WPP Media as a thought leader in performance marketing.
  • Be a Strong People Leader Support and develop leadership talent within the team. Act as a sparring partner for senior specialists and nurture a healthy and ambitious team culture.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in digital activation (Search, Social, Programmatic) with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven success managing large, multidisciplinary teams in an agency or holding-company environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen – comfortable with budgets, forecasting and financial targets.
  • Track record of building integrated ways of working across multiple agencies and markets.
  • Operationally sharp: expert in campaign processes, resource allocation and prioritization.
  • Visionary yet hands-on: able to set strategy and roll up sleeves when needed.
  • Exceptional stakeholder- and client-management skills; persuasive communicator in English and at least one Scandinavian language.
  • Data-driven mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
