WHO YOU ARE
We are now looking for a commercially driven leader to take charge of one of our most customer-facing areas – the IKEA Food business in Odense.
You bring strong commercial insight and a deep understanding of how to create exceptional customer experiences. You know how to translate strategy into action and prioritize the customer journey – from first impression to lasting satisfaction – with food as a key part of that experience.
As a leader, you are passionate about developing the business through people. • Has strong leadership experience as a manager of a leadership team—ideally from a large company with a broad staff base.
• Possesses commercial interest, knowledge, and a strong strategic mindset, along with experience working strategically, tactically, and operationally with business plans.
• Builds strong relationships and communicates clearly in English. Danish is not required, but you're open and motivated to learn it.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As the IKEA Food Manager, you will be responsible for the entire food function in the store, and your primary task will be to create the unique IKEA food experience with a strong focus on our Swedish roots and identity.
You will also hold overall responsibility for ensuring that the IKEA Food function always keeps customer expectations in mind—before, during, and after their visit to the store.
You will be a key part of the IKEA Odense management team, where your role is to help identify the best solutions in line with the IKEA concept, ensuring continuous business development across functions. You and your team will be expected to translate this into creative solutions and commercial opportunities that meet customer needs and expectations.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Overall leadership of the IKEA Food function, including the development of teams and team leaders.
• Planning and executing business plans for the store.
• Improving daily routines in the department to ensure continuous optimization and efficiency.
• Ensuring compliance with the IKEA concept and guidelines within your area.
• Being part of our commercial team in the store and contributing your knowledge and experience in customer service and the local market to help us find the best ways of working.
TOGETHER AS A TEAM
At IKEA Odense, you’ll become part of a strong and ambitious team of 400 dedicated colleagues.
We’re driven by a shared goal: to become the best IKEA store in the world. That means we don’t just aim to meet expectations—we strive to exceed them. Through collaboration, passion, and a strong commercial mindset, we work together to create extraordinary results and a better everyday life for the many people.
IKEA Food plays a key role in our journey.
Rooted in our Swedish heritage, we create food experiences that connect people and strengthen the IKEA brand—whether it’s a quick bite in the Bistro or a taste of Sweden in the restaurant. As part of the team, you’ll help shape these moments in a business area full of potential and ambition.
