We’re now looking for an experienced Chef to join our team – someone who’s passionate about food, thrives in a busy kitchen, and takes pride in leading others with calm and competence.

At Mikkeller Færgekroen, we serve classic Danish dishes in a lively and atmospheric setting by the lake inside Copenhagen’s historic Tivoli Gardens. Our mission is to create memorable food and beer experiences for both Danish and international guests – whether they’re enjoying a full meal, a cold beer before a concert, or a quick stop between rides.

What are we looking for?

As our new Chef, you’ll play a key role in the kitchen. You’ll help ensure smooth and efficient service, maintain high food standards, and contribute to the continued development of both the team and our kitchen systems.

You’re a trained Chef with several years of experience – ideally from busy à la carte or brasserie-style restaurants. You bring a strong passion for Danish cuisine, a calm presence under pressure.

We’re Looking For Someone Who

  • Has a proactive, hands-on mindset and values team spirit
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and stays composed during busy service
  • Speaks fluent English (Danish is a plus but not required)

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes with a focus on traditional Danish cuisine
  • Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet high standards
  • Help managing kitchen workflow in the Head Chefs absence
  • Help oversee inventory routines and waste control
  • Help enforce hygiene and food safety procedures at all times
  • Take part in menu development and seasonal updates
  • Contribute to a strong team culture across kitchen and Front-of-House
