Manager, Accounting Operations
The Role
Genmab’s Global Finance team is looking for a Manager of Accounting Operations to join our talented team in Copenhagen, Denmark.
This is a key position within the Accounting Operations Team and a great opportunity for a motivated, collaborative, and talented accounting professional to thrive in a fast paced Extra-Not-Ordinary organization where we value innovation, determination, integrity, and teamwork.
This individual contributor position reports to the Associate Director, Accounting Operations based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Manager, Accounting Operations
The Role
Genmab’s Global Finance team is looking for a Manager of Accounting Operations to join our talented team in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Responsibilities
We are looking for highly collaborated and high performing candidates with solid accounting and business partnering experience from public accounting or a multi-national publicly traded organization who thrives in the following tasks:
- Lead the E2E accounting and reporting for stock-based compensation (SBC), ensuring compliance with accounting standards including proper expense recognition, reconciliations, and financial disclosures related to SBC.
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close process.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, IFRS and SOX requirements related to SBC and other accounting areas.
- Prepare reconciliations and financial analysis back-up support of assigned balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Drive key accounting special projects with a continuous improvement mindset, including global close acceleration, simplification/automation initiatives, system enhancements, etc.
- Support the integration and/or creation of new business processes aligned with the company’s goals and objectives and 2023 vision.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during periodic audits, providing documentation and explanations as required.
- Business partner cross functionally with colleagues and key stakeholders from various departments, including finance and non-finance teams.
- Support additional responsibilities as deemed necessary for the business.
We are looking for candidates that meet the following professional requirements:
- BA or BS mandatory, CPA (Certified public accountant), CA (Certified accountant) and/or MBA preferred. 5+ years of experience in public accounting and/or accounting operations experience in a fast-paced multinational public traded company.
- Desire to learn and implement new accounting pronouncements and requirements and continually develop technical skills.
- Thrive in a cross-functional global role in a matrix environment.
- Strong technical accounting and analytical skills, attention to detail, and understanding disclosure requirements.
- SAP knowledge is strongly desired, but not a must.
- Strong/Advanced excel skills.
- Excellent business acumen, with strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong reporting and internal controlling skills are needed as well as the ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare and review financial analyses, account reconciliations and identify potential issues requiring improvement.
