What will your day look like?

We’re looking for someone with top-notch writing and research skills, and English as their first language, to be our full-time, in-house copywriter. As our new copywriter, you will write communications for global clients, becoming an expert in their TOV and business objectives as you do.

Your primary job will be to create compelling copy for CRM, Loyalty and other comms channels.

You Will

  • Write original copy in American or British English for email, push notifications and paid media, including eye-catching subject lines and preheaders.
  • Brainstorm communication and copy ideas with the team.  
  • Revise copy based on internal and client feedback.
  • Create or edit narratives for new business and pitch decks in collaboration with our Business Consultancy and Growth teams.
  • Play an active role in projects, from initial idea generation to execution and approval – closely liaising with CRM comms strategists.
  • Study data, insights or reports to give your copy a strong conceptual foundation.
  • Lean on brand playbooks and tone of voice guides to create copy aligned with clients’ brand values.
  • Leverage and be curious about new, emerging technologies to be the most creative, most efficient writer you can be. Experience with any of the following a plus: AI prompting, AI conversational design, and video scripting.
  • Approach every piece of creative as an opportunity to elevate the creative excellence of the brand, the team and yourself.

Who are you going to work with?

As a member of the VML MAP Experience Design capability, you will work closely with communication strategists, CX/UX designers, data scientists, tech developers and project managers to brainstorm ideas and articulate messaging. 

You will join a team of creatives working in our Copenhagen office, where collaboration and community are highly valued – to fit, you’ll have to be a team player. We’re a highly international department, come from diverse backgrounds and have unique skill sets, so you’ll get plenty of opportunities to apply your expertise and to grow.

You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times. Your conscientious and solution-oriented mindset enables you to digest complex information and translate strategy and insights into persuasive copy. You value flawlessness and diligent editing, ensuring all deliveries are effective and spotless.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • 5+ years of copywriting experience from an advertising or in-house agency. 
  • Excellent communication skills and native-level proficiency in English. 
  • A relevant background in journalism, English, communications or related discipline.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines.
  • Industry experience in automotive, health care, FMCG, and airline sector are a plus.

What To Expect Of The Recruitment Process

You will meet different people from the Experience Design team throughout the interview process. Before the second round, we ask candidates to complete a short writing assignment, done at your convenience.
