The Regional Business Partner is a proficient HR generalist who provides operational People support across multiple locations. With a focus on delivering consistent, high-quality execution of people processes and policies, this role supports front-line and middle level leaders on day-to-day people matters, helps manage employee relations cases, and ensures local practices remain compliant and fit for purpose.

Operating with growing autonomy, this role is key to creating a consistent and effective employee experience across regions. It contributes to the successful implementation of global people initiatives, supports leaders in resolving people-related challenges, and plays an important role in risk mitigation, compliance, and regional alignment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Operational Leader Support

  • Advise and support on people-related issues including underperformance, wellbeing, sickness absence, and other employee concerns.
  • Manage complex or sensitive cases in collaboration with the Head of Employee Relations & Regional Business Partners, the Legal team and Senior Business Partners where required.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for tactical people-related guidance and employee case management.

Policy & Process Execution

  • Ensure local HR policies and processes are accurate, compliant, and consistently applied across geographies.
  • Partner with Legal and Centres of Expertise (CoEs) to ensure employment terms, handbooks, and practices meet legislative requirements and internal standards.
  • Sign off on terms and agreements in line with local processes and governance frameworks, including engagement with trade unions or works councils where needed.

Delivery of Core People Processes

  • Support the facilitation of key HR processes including performance cycles, engagement surveys, and people planning activities.
  • Ensure consistent and timely execution of people-related activities in collaboration with Functional and Senior Business Partners.
  • Help embed process improvements and provide operational input into how initiatives land across regions.

Workforce Data & Proactive Insights

  • Monitor and interpret people metrics (e.g. sickness trends, PIP activity) to spot emerging risks or opportunities.
  • Use data and insights to proactively inform conversations with leaders and flag issues requiring intervention.
  • Escalate or collaborate on recurring trends that may require cross-functional solutions.

Compliance & Risk Mitigation

  • Ensure employment policies, practices, and decisions remain compliant with local employment law.
  • Partner with legal teams or local authorities where necessary to manage risk.
  • Keep accurate documentation and ensure high standards in case handling.

Collaboration & Influence

  • Work closely with the Head of Employee Relations & Regional Business Partners, as well as Senior Business Partners, CoEs, and VP of Business Partnering to ensure consistency and alignment in people strategy execution.
  • Provide feedback and insight to shape better processes, tools, and employee experiences.
  • Build effective cross-functional relationships and influence operational outcomes through strong logic, insight, and follow-through.

Who You Are

  • A skilled HR professional with experience across the employee lifecycle, ideally in complex or matrixed environments.
  • Confident advising and supporting leaders on a wide range of people matters, including employee relations cases, performance management, and wellbeing.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working with autonomy while knowing when to escalate or seek guidance.
  • A clear, credible communicator who can build trust and influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence in processes, documentation, and compliance.
  • Analytical and data-informed, able to interpret workforce metrics to proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Pragmatic, solutions-focused, and resilient, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages relevant to the region are an advantage).
