JOIN VIKING - and help build a safer world

At VIKING, we live by saving lives. We are proud to be a world leading supplier of safety products, solutions, and services to the global maritime industry. Our equipment contributes to safety on everything from large cruise and container ships to offshore platforms, ferries, fishing vessels, and superyachts.

Our mission is to protect and save lives – and to succeed in that, we rely on strong, reliable, and people-focused processes that support our Leaders and the wider business.

That’s where you come in. We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR Processes & Projects Specialist to help shape, improve, and elevate how we work with global people processes across VIKING.

You’ll be part of our dedicated People & Organization team in Esbjerg, working closely with colleagues around the world and reporting directly to our Sr. Manager, HR Operations.

If you’re someone who loves streamlining workflows, driving projects forward, finding smarter ways of working, and making life easier for our global Leaders and HR colleagues – this could be your next adventure.

This is what you'll be doing:

  • You'll take ownership of global HR processes like performance appraisals and engagement surveys, ensuring they run smoothly in collaboration with our HRIS team and regional HR Business Partners.
  • You’ll work to improve and document HR processes across the entire employee journey – from onboarding to offboarding – always with an eye for clarity, scalability, and compliance.
  • Collaboration is key, and you’ll partner with global HR colleagues and HRIS team to ensure our processes are not just efficient, but also user-friendly and future-ready.
  • You’ll manage various HR projects from idea to implementation – aligning stakeholders, keeping timelines on track, and making sure outcomes create real value for the organization.
  • New initiatives will benefit from your structured approach to communication and training, ensuring people understand and adopt new ways of working.
  • You'll create clear and practical process documentation, guidelines, and SOPs to support consistent execution globally.
  • As someone who spots opportunities for improvement, you’ll play a key role in identifying where digitalization or process tweaks can make a difference – and help turn those ideas into reality.

Your profile:

You probably come with a degree in HR, business, or something similar – and bring at least 5 years of solid experience working in HR operations or process-focused roles. If you’ve done that in a global or international set-up, that’s a big plus.

You know HR processes well and genuinely enjoy making them work better. You're structured, detail-oriented, and thrive when managing projects from start to finish.

You’re a confident communicator, fluent in English (spoken and written), and skilled in engaging across different cultures and functions. And while you're not the one owning HR systems, you're comfortable working closely with HRIS and tech-savvy colleagues to help turn good ideas into smart, digital solutions.

VIKING offers:

We offer a meaningful and rewarding role within a supportive, international team. At VIKING, you’ll be part of a workplace driven by a life-saving mission, where a strong and inclusive culture values each individual’s contribution. You’ll have access to opportunities for professional development - all within a dynamic environment where your ideas and efforts truly make an impact.

Joining VIKING means becoming part of a global success story, surrounded by dedicated colleagues across our worldwide stations and offices.
