In this role, you'll join our Technology Operations team — the engine behind our critical platforms. From SQL and Oracle databases to Linux/Windows servers, end-user computing, backup strategies, disaster recovery, and IT project delivery — you'll play a key role in keeping our FinTech infrastructure fast, secure, and future-ready.

Exciting work is waiting for you

• Perform day-to-day DBA operations, including maintenance, monitoring, and incident response
• Support internal teams with database design best practices and efficient query optimization
• Ensure high performance, availability, and stability of SQL and Oracle environments
• Proactively monitor and tune databases to maintain optimal uptime
• Collaborate closely with IT, DevOps, and product teams on performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Prepare and maintain documentation for audits, security reviews, and compliance checks
• Actively participate in internal and external audits (CSSF, DORA, ISO27K, internal risk and audit)

You will be expected to participate in the on-call rota with other Platforms team members (once you have settled in and found your footing) to support our 24/7 monitoring -and other highly invested Banking Circle teams.

Things we’ll look for on your resume

To thrive in this role, you bring proven experience in a similar position and a collaborative mindset that complements our team culture. You're someone who enjoys working closely with colleagues, sharing ideas, and contributing to a positive work environment — all while applying your expertise in database design, support, and troubleshooting to drive real impact.

Your technical expertise focuses on Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database (VM based, IAAS and PAAS offerings), the Transact-SQL Language and performance tuning, SQL Auditing and Security.

You already bring solid experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and are comfortable working with Git repositories. You know your way around database backup and restore, have a strong grasp of Microsoft Windows Server, and use PowerShell scripting to automate and optimize your daily tasks with ease.

While not mandatory, experience with PL/SQL and Oracle RDBMS, as well as familiarity with Redgate Monitoring and SQL audit tools, would be a great plus. Knowledge of PostgreSQL — from configuration and daily operations to migration and backup/restore — is also valued. If you’ve worked with Databricks or have a C# development background, that’s an added advantage we’d be happy to see.
