Early-Stage Process Development afdelingen (ESD) spiller en afgørende rolle i at bringe nye lægemidler fra koncept til patient, med projekter der spænder fra tidlig præklinisk udvikling til kliniske studier. Afdelingen er ansvarlig for cellelinjeudvikling, tidlig procesudvikling og fremstilling af cellebanker.
Afdelingen består af tre tværfaglige teams, hvor upstream-, downstream- og analytiske eksperter arbejder sammen for at nå projektmålene. Du vil blive en del af en gruppe af højt dedikerede laboranter og scientists, der samarbejder om udvikling og optimering af processer. Teamene driver projekterne, og du vil opleve tæt samarbejde inden for teamet mellem forskellige tekniske discipliner. Vi udvikler processer for produkter produceret i både mammale og mikrobielle cellelinjer og samarbejder med forskellige interessenter såsom Analytical Method Development og Manufacturing. Du vil opleve en dynamisk og fleksibel arbejdsplads med mange muligheder for både at bidrage og udvikle dig.

Som Upstream Laborant vil du udføre cellekultivering i rystekolber og hele vejen op til pilot bioreaktorer samt understøtte GMP cellebankproduktion. Du vil generere data af høj kvalitet, holde tidsplaner på sporet og bidrage til løbende procesforbedringer i et dynamisk, projektorienteret miljø.
Du vil arbejde sammen med et team af 5 laboranter og 6 scientists inden for teamet og på tværs af teams i hele afdelingen. Vi kan love dig et spændende og varieret job. THE DEPARTMENT AND TEAM
The Early-Stage Process Development Department (ESD) plays a crucial role in bringing new drugs from concepts to patients, with projects ranging from early pre-clinical development through clinical studies. The department is responsible for cell line development, early-stage process development, and cell bank manufacturing.
The department is composed by three interdisciplinary teams, where upstream, downstream and analytical experts work together to achieve the project goals. You will be part of a group of highly dedicated laboratory technicians and scientists collaborating on development and optimization of processes. The teams are driving the projects, and you will experience close collaboration within the team between different technical disciplines. We develop processes for products produced in both mammalian and microbial cell lines and collaborate with various stakeholders such as Analytical Method Development and Manufacturing. You will experience a dynamic and flexible working place with many opportunities to both contribute and develop.
THE ROLE
As Upstream Laboratory Technician you will perform mammalian cell cultivation from shake flask to pilot-scale bioreactor and support GMP cell-bank creation. You will generate high-quality data, keep timelines on track and contribute to continual process improvements in a dynamic, project-driven environment.
You will be working together with a team of 5 laboratory technicians and 6 scientists within the team, and across teams in the whole department. We can promise an exciting and diverse job. The work environment in our department is very informal. There is constant collaboration across the organization, and all employees have a professional and flexible attitude towards their work.

We are looking for a laboratory technician with a background and interest in cell culturing. The ideal candidate is an educated lab technician or has an equivalent scientific/technical background.

Ansvarsområder
- Seed train og produktionskørsler i rystekolber, CultiBags, 5 L glasbioreaktorer, AMBR-250 og pilot-skala bioreaktorer.
- Rutinemæssig prøvetagning for at monitorere forskellige procesparametre, herunder VCD og viabilitet (Cedex), pH, metabolitter og gasser (FLEX2)
- Fremstilling af medier og feeds
- Assistere i GMP cellebankproduktion og karakterisering
- Forberedelse af høst og prøvehåndtering til Downstream/Analytics
- Dokumentation i ELN og papirbaserede batch records
- Forberedelse og opdatering af SOP'er
- Daglig vedligeholdelse, kalibrering og fejlfinding af upstream-udstyr
Vi søger en laborant med baggrund og interesse for cellekultivering. Den ideelle kandidat er uddannet laborant eller har en tilsvarende videnskabelig/teknisk baggrund.
Vi Forventer Desuden, At Du Har
- 1–3 års praktisk erfaring med mammal cellekultur i en industriel, CDMO eller akademisk kontekst
- Erfaring med bioreaktoroperation og aseptisk teknik
- cGMP-erfaring
- Gode engelskkundskaber (tale og skrift) samt erfaring med MS Office/data systemer

Key Responsibilities
- Seed train and production runs in shake flasks, single-use CultiBags, 5 L glass vessels, AMBR-250, and pilot-scale bioreactors
- Routine sampling to monitor various in-process parameters, including cell density and viability (Cedex), pH, metabolites, and gassing (FLEX2)
- Preparation of media and feeds
- Assist in GMP cell bank manufacturing and characterization
- Harvest preparation, and sample logistics to Downstream/Analytics
- Accurate documentation in ELN and paper-based batch records
- Preparation and update of SOPs
- Daily maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of upstream equipment.
We are looking for a laboratory technician with a background and interest in cell culturing. The ideal candidate is an educated lab technician or has an equivalent scientific/technical background.
Furthermore, We Expect You To Have
- 1–3 years hands-on mammalian cell culture in an industrial, CDMO or academic setting
- Experience with bioreactor operation and aseptic technique
- cGMP experience
- Good English skills (spoken & written) and proficiency with MS Office / data systems.
