Lead a scrum team in creating mission-critical medical software. You will be responsible for project delivery, risk management, and team development. Your role will be central to advancing military medical operations.

Drive innovation and inspire your team
As Project Manager, you will lead a skilled software development team of around 10 colleagues based in Aarhus and Bucharest. This is a people management role where you will support, develop, and empower your team while ensuring the successful delivery of our product. You will oversee projects to ensure they meet quality, budget, and timeline targets. In addition, you will play a key role in leading cross-organisational initiatives and coordinating programme-level activities that drive our new product and organisation forward.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing employees within the development department located in Denmark
  • Driving improvements and coordinating deliveries across business units
  • Supporting bid processes by providing technical feasibility assessments, effort estimates, and input to development planning
  • Participating in planning activities at both programme and team levels
  • Managing status reporting and governance activities
  • You will collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders including project management peers, domain advisors, solution architects, customer project managers, quality assurance, implementation teams, and sales. Strong collaboration and communication skills will be essential to your success.

Drawing on over 30 years of combined healthcare and C4ISR expertise, it supports military medical operations with advanced patient tracking, flow management, and a unified operational picture from incident to repatriation.

You will join and lead a new, skilled, cross-functional Scrum team distributed between Aarhus and Bucharest. The team comprises approximately 10 professionals, including developers, testers, an architect, a domain advisor, and you as the project manager — all working closely together to deliver mission-critical solutions that make a real difference.

The Skills To Make An Impact
We are seeking an Project Manager who combines strong leadership with hands-on project management expertise. You are passionate about people management and thrive on developing talented teams in complex software environments. You are comfortable working in an international setting, fluent in both English and Danish, and eager to contribute to an agile, fast-paced new product.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree and project management certification such as PMI/PMP or PRINCE2
  • At least 5 years’ experience managing software development projects
  • Proven leadership skills with a hands-on, motivating, and inclusive approach to people management, focused on nurturing talent and fostering team growth
  • Experience working within agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, or similar), and familiarity with tools such as Jira for backlog and issue tracking
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with a focus on delivering results, including managing risks, tracking progress, staying calm under pressure, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders across the programme
