Do you want to work with impact investments in the city center of Copenhagen? Impact Fund Denmark is looking for a Junior Analyst to join the Financial Services team in our office in Copenhagen, who is interested in sustainable and commercial investments that create impact in developing and emerging markets.


Impact Fund Denmark is Denmark’s Development Finance Institution. We aim to be a best-in-class impact investor by making commercial private sector investments that support the green transition, as well as building just and inclusive societies in developing countries and emerging markets. Impact Fund Denmark has a strong focus on creating sustainable and responsible businesses, which generate measurable social, economic and climate impacts as well as solid financial returns. Impact Fund Denmark's head office is located in Copenhagen, and have regional offices in India, Ukraine, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Brazil.

Prioritized sectors are Green Energy & Infrastructure, Financial Services, Healthcare and Sustainable Food Systems. Impact Fund Denmark has co-invested in over 1,300 companies in more than 100 developing countries and emerging markets. Contracted investments total EUR 31 billion, of which Impact Fund Denmark has contributed EUR 3.6 billion. Annually Impact Fund Denmark makes around 25 -30 investments and has on average an active portfolio of 200 investments


The job


As Junior Analyst you will be part of our investment organisation. Your job will assist and support in preparing, presenting and monitoring our sustainable investments. You will be involved in the entire process from start to finish, working in teams with experienced colleagues in Copenhagen and our regional offices, as well as other students.

In particular, you will:

  • build and maintain financial models and evaluate performance under various operating scenarios.
  • prepare materials for the investment committee.
  • conduct preliminary project evaluations.
  • perform general research and analyses.
  • ensure that databases are updated.
  • prepare presentation materials for use in partner meetings.
  • participate in meetings and negotiations with external parties.
  • complete ad hoc tasks.

The working hours are 15-20 hours per week. Your work can be arranged flexibly and according to your classes, exams etc. The position is based in our headquarter on Fredericiagade 27, 1310 København K. Working from home may be allowed upon agreement


The team


You will become part of the Investment department that consists of over 60 highly qualified and motivated Investment Professionals working in teams covering sectors like Financial Services, Sustainable Food Systems, Healthcare and Green Energy & Infrastructure, the Development Guarantee Facility team, and Public Infrastructure Finance team.

Your qualifications & experience


We expect that you are enrolled in a relevant university degree, and are completing your bachelor and you plan to continue with a relevant master's. In addition, you:

  • have strong analytical skills.
  • are well-organised and pay attention to details.
  • are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • are an experienced user of Microsoft 365, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • furthermore, we imagine that you have knowledge of financial modelling and valuation methods.
