At Mmimetika we’re developing a unique nutraceutical that mimics the body’s metabolic response to hard exercise and fasting. A growing body of independent scientific evidence is documenting the potential of our solutions on an array of bodily functions via better metabolic control and in support of longevity.

We are a startup founded in 2022. We are now focusing on finalizing Novel Foods and GRAS approvals in key markets, preparing volume production ramp-up, and paving our way into the global B2B marketplace.

We are looking to raise a series A financing in 2026. This funding round will enable us to take our first products to market in late 2026 or early 2027 and to then grow the company.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial CEO with relevant food ingredient or similar industry expertise who can lead our commercialization efforts and help raise our series A financing.

The expected starting date for our new CEO is the beginning of 2026 or earlier.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Be

  • Help raise our series A fundraising round.
  • Lead the development of our global B2B go-to-market strategy.
  • Execute said go-to-market strategy.
  • Build and scale the organization as the business matures.

All of the above will be done in close collaboration with the team, the Board, our international collaborators, and advisors.

Requirements

To succeed in the position, we expect you to:

  • Have a good understanding of the tightly regulated nutraceuticals market. Ideally, you have worked with commercializing neutraceuticals, novel ingredients, food supplements, vitamins, or similar.
  • Have a detailed understanding of raising a series A financing round. Ideally, you have raised Venture Capital before.
  • Have experience building a commercial organization from scratch.

In addition to these requirements, the ideal candidate has a network of B2B partners in relevant industries and relevant venture capitalists.

Having been through a similar journey before will be a very large plus!

Work-hours & Compensation

We are looking for full-time employment – a person who wants to be the face of Mmimetika and commit to this journey with us as we grow. Since we are at the pre-commercial stage, you should expect a realistic base salary + an attractive warrant package as initial compensation. Upon reaching key milestones such as securing commercial agreements with ingredients companies/B2B partners, as well as series A funding and revenue generation, your base salary will increase markedly as the business matures.

Work Place

Optimally, you should be located in or able to relocate to Denmark.

Most of the team currently reside near Aarhus University campus, but the right candidate might work from anywhere within the country or even abroad, as long as you are able to travel and be present as needed.

Start Date

We are looking for our new CEO to start no later than the beginning of 2026.
