Are you curious about what drives energy markets – and how we quantify risk in a world that rarely stands still?

Do you want to work at the intersection of data, business insights, and decision-making?

As a Market Risk Analyst at Mind Energy, you take responsibility for reporting performance and key risk indicators across our energy trading and portfolio management business. You collaborate closely with commercial stakeholders to evaluate and integrate new products – and you provide the risk insights that enable management to make sharp, data-driven decisions.

DIVE INTO WHAT YOUR DAY-TO-DAY TASKS LOOK LIKE

This is a role for someone who enjoys connecting dots – across data, people, and strategy.

As a Market Risk Analyst, you are a vital part of evolving our risk reporting, frameworks, and understanding of market exposure. You bring clarity to complexity and contribute to decisions that shape our trading operations.

You:

  • Own market risk oversight for one of our business areas and build strong partnerships across the organisation
  • Help shape the foundation for Market Risk in line with Mind Energy’s new corporate strategy
  • Monitor and report on key risk metrics such as Value-at-Risk, stress testing, exposure development, and market movements
  • Work closely with the business to define new product and trading frameworks and embed changes into policies, procedures, and systems
  • Stay up to date on relevant trends and deliver reports and insights to senior management and the Risk Committee

JOIN A TEAM OF MINDFUL ACHIEVERS

You are joining our Market Risk team – a core part of Risk Management at Mind Energy. We’re a focused and dynamic team of 9 professionals with backgrounds ranging from quantitative modeling and software engineering to finance and commercial strategy.

What brings us together is curiosity: about markets, about modelling, and about how we communicate complexity in simple, effective ways.

You’ll often find us at the whiteboard – discussing everything from the quirks of wind power to the ever-changing ranking of the best soft drinks in the office. We think clearly, challenge each other constructively, and have fun together – whether it's a paddle match, the DHL relay, or daily table tennis over lunch.

LET’S SWITCH THE FOCUS TO YOU

You bring a structured mindset and a curiosity for how risk takes shape in energy markets. You enjoy exploring data, finding patterns, and turning them into clear, actionable insights. And just as importantly – you’re eager to collaborate, learn, and grow.

  • A degree in finance, business, or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Clear communicator – both written and verbal – who can engage across technical and non-technical audiences
  • A structured approach to working with data and decision support
  • Experience with Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL or similar tools is a plus

At Mind Energy, we encourage applicants from all backgrounds and identities. We believe that diversity drives innovation and builds stronger teams.

Please note that this role is based at one of our offices – either Søborg or Aarhus.
