Are you curious about the opportunity to establish a facility that bridges new and automated technologies with strong know-how and expertise in biotech manufacturing? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment with high professionalism and strong collaboration? Join us at the beginning of our journey and make your mark on a newly established team that is poised for growth in the coming years.

The position

We have many new and exciting technology projects on the horizon. Therefore, we are expanding the Technical Production Facility with new unit operations in fermentation and recovery processes. Thus, we are now looking for a Process Engineer or Marine Engineer with experience in fermentation, recovery, and associated utility systems to join our project team.

In this position, you will be part of the project team working to expand our facility with equipment for the fermentation and recovery processes. This means that you will be involved in all phases of the project, from detailed design, construction, commissioning, and start-up. Once the equipment becomes operational, there is a great opportunity to transition into the team responsible for daily operations.

You should possess experience in fermentation and/or recovery processes, as well as associated utility systems, ideally from large-scale operations. Practical, hands-on experience with machinery and equipment such as pumps, valves, heat exchangers, compressors, and heating/cooling systems is required. You understand the complexity of the processes and can provide input to optimize the design to be fit for purpose for the use cases. Additionally, you should be adept at leveraging your large-scale plant operating experience to address challenges in test facility environments.

Moreover, you will join a developing project team, giving you the opportunity to influence both our processes and the culture of the unit.

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, we expect you to:

  • Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or equivalent. A practical background as a smith or craftsman is an advantage.
  • Have several years of experience in fermentation, recovery, and/or associated utility systems.
  • Possess technical know-how of production and utility systems acquired through hands-on experience in the industry.
  • Preferably have experience in designing process equipment at an industrial scale, including the start-up and commissioning of new unit operations.
  • Have experience working in a project team.
  • Communicate fluently in English and Danish.
