In the role as Head of Global Office Finance you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer through deep intelligent hearing, audio, video, and gaming solutions.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Global Office Finance, Gaming division to support the financial planning, analysis, and performance management of our R&D, G&A, and Global Marketing functions.

This role will play a critical part in strategic planning, cost control, and ensuring financial accountability across departments with a combined scope of over DKK 270 million. This role will manage also strategic finance projects, including process optimizations and system transitions.

The team you will be part of

SteelSeries represents one of the divisions in GN and is a respected provider of premium software-enabled gaming gear. A global brand in headsets, keyboard, mice and other accessories for gamers, SteelSeries products are sold via distributors, retailers, and GN’s own webstores in 80+ countries across the world.

You will be part of a diverse and collaborative team that includes individuals from Denmark, Poland, North America, and other locations. The location for this position will be Denmark or Poland depending on preferences of the candidate.

Your Contribution Is Appreciated, And You Will

  • Handle the R&D Financial Management and act as a Business Partner to Head of R&D.
  • Coordinate planning cycles: define financial targets and facilitate bottom-up budget/forecast creation with cost centers. Ensure submitted figures are in alignment with target.
  • Perform month-end close, financial reporting, and performance dialogues with stakeholders.
  • Support R&D in new product launches across the different stages of product development with the aim of improving profitability of our NPIs.
  • Continuously analyze spending patterns to ensure that funds are consistently allocated in a manner that supports long-term financial objectives and strategic growth.
  • Handle the G&A Cost Centre Oversight and act as a Business Partner to G&A Leadership.
  • Coordinate budget and forecast planning across all G&A functions.
  • Manage monthly close and reporting.
  • Engage in performance management discussions with cost center leads to ensure financial discipline and prevent overspending, while aligning expenditures with strategic objectives.
  • Handle the Global Salary Planning and Cross-functional Leadership, own company-wide salary model across all cost centers.
  • Oversee bonus accruals and payout calculations (quarterly and annually).
  • Coordinate and ensure accuracy of compensation planning processes.
  • Be responsible for Global Marketing Financial Management and act as a Business Partner to Global Marketing Function.
  • Oversee planning and forecasting processes for Global Marketing.
  • Handle monthly close, variance analysis, and financial reporting and facilitate performance discussions with budget owner.
  • Handle Strategic Finance Projects & Process Improvements; implement financial process optimization initiatives across cost centers to improve accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in planning, reporting, and month-end activities.
  • Handle cross-functional transformation projects, including the migration of financial workflows (e.g., transitioning MDF rebate processing from Credit Note to Purchase Order systems).
  • Standardize and enhance financial reconciliation processes, such as implementing robust true-up mechanisms for R&D and other variable cost areas.
  • Support system upgrades and automation efforts, ensuring alignment between finance processes and tools (e.g., SAP, OneStream, Excel models).
  • Collaborate with global teams to harmonize financial practices and implement highly effective planning and control methodologies across regions and departments.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for strategic cost management, including scenario modeling, benchmarking, and investment prioritization.

To perform well in the role, we imagine that you:

  • Possess several years of experience within a similar role.
  • Have experience in working with R&D function or IT projects
  • Have a keen understanding of financial operations with a focus on details.
  • Are experienced in SAP, OneStream, D365 or similar tools.
  • Have extensive stakeholder management skills.
  • Are fluent in English; other language skills welcomed, such as Polish.
  • Handle analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with a team effectively and you are keen to share innovative ideas.
  • Want to build and establish a good working relationship with colleagues.
