Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sr. Software / Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to our new product initiative aimed at supporting the LEGO Group's 2032 and 2050 sustainability goals. This role involves working on a cutting-edge solution that enables efficient carbon levers stock take and emissions analysis and streamlining this data for internal and external reporting.

Core Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to capture and understand data requirements related to carbon footprint tracking and management
  • Design and implement data models for efficient data storage, retrieval, and processing tailored to sustainability reporting needs
  • Provide analytical insights and support the development of performance metrics related to carbon emissions, leveraging advanced analytical techniques
  • Engage actively in the development and enhancement of the product's capabilities to meet the vision for sustainability reporting and analytics

Do you have what it takes?



  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C#/ TypeScript
  • Solid experience with Databricks or equivalent cloud-based data engineering platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of data engineering principles and practices, with an emphasis on data transformation, integration, and analytics
  • Experience with SQL would be beneficial also
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and practices, and data visualization tools
  • Practical experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms in deploying and managing data solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality
  • Superb communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse collaborators



Advanced English both written and verbal would be ideal as we are an internationally gathered team.
