We're on the lookout for a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Copenhagen. As a key player in enhancing the digital retail experience at the LEGO Group, you'll be part of a team that supports over 200 stores with cutting-edge Point of Sale technology.


Core Responsibilities

As part of our global Shopper Technology team, you'll work with passionate engineers, product managers, and domain experts to elevate our retail experience across our global LEGO Stores. You'll be instrumental in refining our digital platform which is built on a modern cloud native platform coded in Node.js.

As our Senior Software Engineer, your core responsibilities will include



  • Collaborate with our team of Software Engineers and product manager to deliver both new functionality and iterative improvements to our Shopper Technology platform.
  • Use event-driven and domain-driven design to create loosely coupled, high-resilience systems that enable rapid innovation.
  • Define and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK/Terraform) to ensure robust, secure, and maintainable deployments.
  • Participate in and lead collaborative design sessions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to grow team capabilities and drive quality.
  • Provide technical guidance/informal coaching to other engineers to enable their professional development.

Do you have what it takes?



  • Deep experience in backend development with modern languages like Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services like Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge, Step Functions, and more.
  • Experience with observability tools like Elasticsearch or New Relic.
  • Commercial experience with modern CI/CD and engineering tooling – we use Amazon Web Services, GitHub Actions and CDK/Terraform extensively.
  • Provide technical guidance/informal coaching to other engineers to enable their professional development
  • Lead by example to create a safe and inclusive engineering culture.
