We are now looking to hire a Flight Support Officer to support our operations and join the team in Copenhagen.
About The Opportunity
You will assist the Flight Operations department on route optimization, aircraft performance analysis and flight planning system administration, in order to constantly improve efficiency of current flight operations. You will also take part in special projects that will contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the department.

What you’ll be doing
- SLOT Management: Oversee the scheduling and allocation of airport slots, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements to maintain operational efficiency and minimize SLOT violations. Liaise with SLOT coordinators to resolve discrepancies and maintain access to critical airport timeframes.
- Landing & Overflight Permit Handling: Secure necessary permissions for flight operations, including landing rights and overflight clearances, ensuring timely approvals from relevant authorities in various jurisdictions. Coordinate closely with airspace regulators to prevent delays.
- Documentation for relevant authorities, such as CCAR129 and FAA129.
- Navigation Database Maintenance: Ensure that the navigation database is regularly updated and accurate within all operational systems to support safe and efficient flight planning.
- Route Study & Optimization: Perform detailed calculations and risk assessments for possible routes, optimizing flight paths for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. Identify improvements to existing routes to enhance operational performance.
- Aerodrome Assessments & Briefing Materials: Prepare and maintain assessments of aerodromes, ensuring comprehensive briefing materials for flight crews on operational conditions, alternate airports, and risk factors.
- Authorized & Category Aerodrome Listing: Maintain the company’s aerodrome database, including authorized, category-specific, and alternate listings to support strategic flight planning.
- Coordination with Chief Pilots: Compile and refine briefing materials in collaboration with chief pilots to support informed decision-making.
- Navigation Material Preparation: Develop navigation-related materials for new destinations and ad-hoc flights, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
- Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Support: Assist the EFB administrator with maintenance and testing of performance tools, ensuring seamless digital integration for flight operations.
- Continuous Optimization & Cost Efficiency: Proactively seek improvement opportunities regarding cost savings, operational performance, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Procedural Compliance & Knowledge Transfer: Ensure flight support procedures are documented, adhered to, and effectively communicated within the department. Maintain structured knowledge-sharing to enhance team efficiency.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Develop and maintain relevant KPIs to track financial and operational objectives, ensuring strategic alignment with company goals.
- Network Planning: coordinate, optimize and assess input from Commercial Partners.
- An operational background as a Flight Support Officer, pilot, or other relevant training; or experience in Flight Operations Dispatch
- Previous airline experience and extensive knowledge in the subject of flight planning and navigation
- Excellent written and oral English language
- Strong IT skills
- Proactive and capable of working quickly and accurately without supervision, effectively responding to rapidly changing situations.
- Possesses strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to make effective decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Results-focused, cost-conscious, commercially aware, and adaptable to the demands of the business with a resilient approach.
- Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft performance and flight planning.
- Familiar with air traffic management, aircraft mass and balance, aviation regulations, and meteorology.
- Preferably experienced in working with airport slots.
