We are looking for a Senior Reinforced Concrete Designer with 8+ years of experience to join our team of 15 skilled specialists within immersed tunnels design. We currently work alongside our customers on some of the world’s most significant immersed tunnels and underground structure projects. We are proud to have played a part in projects such as the Fehmarnbelt Fixed link, Fraser River Tunnel Project, and the Eastern Ring road.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to various immersed tunnel and underground structure projects in Denmark and internationally. You will work closely with project teams, clients and stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Work on large-scale infrastructure projects, contributing technical skills throughout.
- Participate in project meetings and prepare FE models, design calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Review design and construction documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor project progress, report status to senior management, and manage project risks and issues.
- Ensure compliance with quality and health and safety procedures specific to company and projects.
- Provide guidance to junior team members and collaborate with other COWI teams to meet project goals.

On top of that, you will have:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with 8+ years as a structural / reinforced concrete design engineer.
- Extensive experience in the design of civil structures, including tunnels and underground structures; experience with immersed tunnels.
- Extensive technical knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, experience in Eurocode and other relevant design standards.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software, e.g. SOFiSTiK, with experience in parametric design considered an advantage.
- Ability to operate on an individual basis or as part of a team, with a focus on developing junior professionals.
- Fluent in English and intermediate level of Danish
