We're seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team as we scale our platform to serve an expanding global customer base. You'll be instrumental in maintaining and evolving our sophisticated cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Evolution: Design and implement scalable AWS infrastructure to support our growing customer base
- Developer Experience: Enhance our Nix-based development environment and build systems
- Reliability Engineering: Implement monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery systems
- Security: Maintain security best practices across our multi-account AWS environment
- Automation: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support rapid, safe deployments
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to optimize application performance and reliability
- Rust Programming: Hands-on experience with Rust for systems programming and performance-critical applications
- Node.js Runtime: Deep understanding of Node.js internals, performance optimization, and production deployment
- Linux Build Systems: Expertise in Linux-based build environments, package management, and system administration
- CI/CD: Proficiency with GitHub Actions for automated testing, building, and deployment pipelines
- Infrastructure as Code: Strong experience with AWS CDK for managing cloud resources
- Cross-Platform Compilation: Experience with ARM64 cross-compilation and multi-architecture deployments
DevOps Processes & Responsibilities
- Dependency Management: Experience managing and triaging Dependabot reports, security vulnerabilities, and package updates
- Incident Response: Coordinate incident management and post-mortem processes and steer high system reliability practices in collaboration with the full-stack engineering team
- Disaster Recovery: Design, implementation and annual coordination of backup strategies, failover mechanisms, and business continuity plans
- Observability: Building scalable infrastructure metrics, monitoring, and alerting systems using modern observability tools
Ideally you have...
- 5+ years of DevOps/Platform Engineering experience
- Strong background in cloud-native architectures and microservices
- Experience with industrial IoT, real-time data processing, or high-throughput systems (preferred)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Passion for automation, reliability, and developer productivity
