What is the job about?

As a Software Development Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing and enhancing features in Grundfos pumps and drives. Collaborating closely with highly skilled developers worldwide, you’ll work on embedded software using our common platform to ensure Grundfos continues delivering the world's best products. Flexibility, self-organization, and the ability to plan your day are essential in our agile workplace.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Design and develop embedded software for product applications, ensuring high-quality solutions.
  • Conduct unit testing and full value chain testing of new software and products.
  • Improve existing software, troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and ensure comprehensive documentation.
  • Contribute to test architecture, governance, and framework enhancements, driving best practices in the team.
  • Develop reusable test scripts, test environments, and implement end-to-end system testing.
  • Support field issue troubleshooting and ensure test beds align with Continuous Integration frameworks.

Your background:

We imagine that you have:

  • 2-3 years of experience in embedded software development and testing after earning a B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Embedded C, RTOS, and communication protocols (e.g., RS232, RS485, I2C, SPI, Modbus).
  • Experience with MCU architectures (preferably Renesas), embedded environments (IAR), debugging tools, and hardware testing.
  • Hands-on knowledge of testing tools (e.g., CPPUnit), Continuous Integration tools (e.g., Jenkins), and version control systems (e.g., GIT).
  • Strong collaboration skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work in multicultural, self-organized agile teams.
