At Grundfos, we are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to help us enhance the features in Grundfos pumps and drives while contributing to embedded innovations that impact industries worldwide.

What is the job about?

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing embedded software applications in close collaboration with colleagues globally using our common software platform. You’ll have a holistic view of team delivery and dependencies, ensuring alignment with software architecture and governance processes while contributing to enhancements of reference frameworks.

Flexibility is key in our agile environment, as you’ll have the ability to plan your own work and proactively build and share knowledge to enhance processes and drive innovation.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software applications as part of the product development team.
• Define solutions from a system perspective and support system integration.
• Ensure alignment with software architecture and contribute to its enhancement.
• Develop unit tests and ensure complete testing for software and products across the value chain.
• Proactively guide colleagues to improve development processes and product innovation.
• Support end-to-end system testing and field issue troubleshooting.
• Drive and develop reusable test scripts and automation.
  
  

Your background

We imagine that you have:

• Years of experience in embedded software development after formal degree of B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech (Electronics).
• Proficiency in embedded C and concepts at both software and hardware levels.
• Experience with PID control algorithms, MATLAB, and integration of sensors (temperature, pressure, etc.).
• Structured, modularized development and testing for various embedded software components like RTOS, memory, and communication protocols (e.g., RS232, RS485, SPI, I2C).
• Expertise in MCU architectures (16 & 32 bit, preferably Renesas), fieldbus protocols (e.g., Modbus, Bacnet, CAN), and embedded environments (e.g., IAR).
• Hands-on experience with debugging tools, wireless technologies (WiFi, Bluetooth), documentation, and SW testing tools.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python and Java.
  
  

Nice to have: ISQTB certification, exposure to IoT-based applications, and knowledge of protocol testing tools (e.g., Wireshark, Modscan).
