Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Contract

IC Resources is working with a rapidly growing Denmark based client who is looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to join their team on a contracting basis.

The Role

• 6-12 month contract
• Highly competitive hourly rate
• Onsite 5 days a week
  
  

The Requirements

• Lead mechanical design and development of satellite structures,
• Design, prototype, and qualify complex mechanical subsystems using CAD and mechanical analysis tools.
• Perform simulations (thermal, vibrational, structural) to ensure performance and durability in space conditions.
• Document designs thoroughly, including manufacturing and test plans, compliant with ESA/ECSS standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with avionics, thermal, and systems teams for full system integration.
• Test and validate mechanical components for space qualification through rigorous testing procedures.
