We are looking for a dedicated Operational Engineer, who shares our passion, drive, and energy – what we call Genki – to join a team of highly skilled and experienced colleagues at our production site in Hillerød, supporting cross site.

You can look forward to becoming part of a small but knowledgeable team consisting of instrument, operational, and metrology engineers. We collaborate with a diverse number of stakeholders including Engineering, Automation, Utility and Manufacturing. We provide engineering, technical, and hands-on support for Instrumentation & Controls where quality and customer care are paramount.

As an Operational Engineer, you play a critical role in supporting production upstream and downstream process equipment and ensuring reliable and robust operations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide support after any critical process equipment changes, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any issues in collaboration with other engineering teams
  • Support calibration technicians and engage in solving issues related to instrumentation
  • Participate in systematic problem-solving activities, working closely with the other Engineering teams, as well as production departments, to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Support the Metrology function with job plans, instructions, and procedures.
  • Establish life cycle management processes for equipment, ensuring proper maintenance, calibration, and replacement strategies are in place.
  • Support new projects on Configuration and commissioning of instruments.
  • Monitoring and alarm handling on instruments.
  • Experience with bus protocols, instrument configuration and stand-alone systems (PCL)
  • Support training and learning skills for calibration technicians.


Desired Competencies

  • Technical engineering or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience as an Instrumentation & Control Engineer working with upstream and downstream process equipment
  • Knowledge of equipment selection, specification, installation, qualification, and life cycle management practices.
  • Experience from the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is preferred
  • Strong understanding of instrumentation design, installation, and maintenance

About The Team And Department

The Metrology and Instrumentation Engineering Team consists of 7 engineers who provide instrument-related support for utility and production equipment. We are part of Technical Engineering and Maintenance. We collaborate with our colleagues in the Electrical team, Automations teams, Calibrations teams, and Responsible engineers to ensure the right solutions. We support the daily operations with calibration of instruments, performing trouble shooting, delivering on time and solving issues within the area of instrumentation and control systems. We also provide instrument engineering support to the ongoing expansion project of our new production facilities.
