The role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Responsible Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the daily operations and maintenance of critical equipment, including incubators, chambers, fridges, and deep freezers. The Responsible Engineer will ensure all equipment is operational and compliant with GMP regulations and will be instrumental in transitioning old equipment to new models, assisting with engineering and validation processes, and onboarding new equipment. Additionally, this role involves collaboration with the Glass Washers, IBC Washers, and Autoclave operations team, with occasional on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Operations: Manage and maintain the functionality and compliance of incubators, chambers, fridges, and deep freezers, ensuring equipment availability for production needs.
  • Technical Support: Lead error identification, troubleshooting, and immediate service repair to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operational flow.
  • Equipment Transition: Support the upgrade and transition process from old equipment to new models, including onboarding, engineering, and validation efforts.
  • Team Collaboration: Integrate with the Glass Washers, IBC Washers, and Autoclave daily operations team to enhance overall equipment management and facilitate seamless operations.
  • On-Call Duties: Provide occasional on-call support to address urgent equipment issues outside of regular working hours.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 2-4 years of engineering experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with cooling equipment is an advantage
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a relevant technical field.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and related industry regulations.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, problem-solving capabilities, and leadership in technical support operations.
  • Experience with the following systems is an advantage; B medical systems, Thermofisher, Kuhner


Additional Requirements

Strong ability to lead and manage error-finding processes.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions for equipment-related challenges.

A proactive approach to ensuring equipment reliability and compliance.

The area

Process Technology is a group of more than 100 employees that includes 5 departments: Automation, Process Engineering, Validation, Engineering Science and CAD services. We provide support to site-wide projects by offering our expertise as Automation, Process and Validation Engineers and we maintain overall responsibility for ensuring smooth daily operation including engineering technical leadership, and engineering technical support for all cell culture, purification, and pharmaceutical processing equipment.
