Manager for Supply Chain, Operational Readiness

The position

In this role, you will be leading a team of 6-10 employees responsible for all supply chain related activities in the operational readiness track of a large production expansion project. This includes responsibilities within sourcing, warehouse, planning, SAP, logistics and GMP documentation. It is a newly formed team, so you will be establishing a strong team culture with high performance standards to meet the overall project plan. Your responsibilities will include:

• Build a new team temporary team with the purpose of being ready for operations at a new production site.
• Lead and manage a team, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Define roles and responsibilities within own area, define capacity in the area and build the organization.
• Establish guidelines and work with key stakeholders within the greenfield project and line of business.
• Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering their professional development and growth within the organization.
• Build systems for performance management to ensure that deliverables are met within deadlines.
• Collaborating with existing organisation to ensure alignment in processes and knowledge between the existing site and the greenfield site.
  
  
  
  

The position is temporary, and will end February 2027, due to the nature of the team being only responsible for operational readiness in the project phase.

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you have:

• A degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in management within a supply chain or manufacturing environment.
• Good leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a team.
• Strong skills in planning, organising, and controlling resources to achieve project objectives.
• Several years of experience in Supply Chain, e.g. procurement or warehouse.
• A track record of successfully transferring projects from expansion phases to operational readiness.
• Fluency in Danish and English.
  
  
  
  

As a leader, you are familiar with shopfloor operations and building organisational capabilities. You have excellent communication and leadership skills to build and guide teams effectively. Moreover, you have experience in implementing LEAN culture or similar continuous improvement methodologies.

About The Department

The KNSF Supply Chain team will start with 5 existing employees, but more will need to be hired in the coming period. It will cover the areas within operational readiness for warehouse, sourcing, SAP, planning and logistics. You will also be affiliated with the Supply Chain department at Novo Nordisk Pharmatech, where you will be able to draw on the experiences of employees and people managers within your field.
