About the role

As our Lead Architect, you won’t just oversee architecture decisions from afar—you’ll be hands-on from day one. Given our size, we need someone who’s comfortable with both high-level strategic thinking and getting deep into the code. This role is perfect for someone looking to influence large-scale cloud systems while actively contributing to the implementation.

As you grow within Heyra, you’ll gradually shift towards more leadership responsibilities, driving architecture decisions and steering our technical strategy, but always staying connected to the tech.

What you'll do:

• Take ownership of cloud architecture design, ensuring solutions are scalable, performant, and secure.
• Manage and configure Kubernetes environments across platforms like Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and DigitalOcean.
• Be deeply involved in coding, debugging, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, using GitHub Actions to automate workflows.
• Lead infrastructure security initiatives, including the setup of VPNs, VPS management, and secure network configurations.
• Direct database architecture decisions and ensure best practices in backup and restoration processes.
• Collaborate with internal and client teams, contributing both as a technical leader and hands-on developer.
• Over time, shift towards strategic leadership in cloud migration, containerization, and new technology adoption.
• Stay updated on the latest DevOps tools and practices to continually optimize our clients’ infrastructure.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience as a cloud architect, with a willingness to dive deep into coding and infrastructure management.
• Expertise in Kubernetes and cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and DigitalOcean.
• Solid hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment practices using GitHub Actions.
• A deep understanding of networking, security, and database architecture.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Experience with Apache Kafka is a plus.
• Professional proficiency in both Danish(Can be negotiated) and English, with strong communication skills in both. 
• A desire to grow into leadership, gradually moving from hands-on development to architectural oversight and strategy.
