Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal advice and support on a wide range of legal matters within contract works and agreements, corporate law, corporate governance, and act as a liaison to external lawyers. You will play a key role in ensuring the company's compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will have a central role, be in the front line with the senior management, and be a part of scaling and developing the business.

This role can be based out of one of our offices (Copenhagen or Wrocław) or from a remote home office (EU), depending on the successful candidate’s location.

Responsibilities:

• General legal counsel:
• Provide legal advice and counsel to various teams within the company on a broad range of legal matters, including contracts, intellectual property, employment law, corporate law and corporate governance.
• Assist with your legal perspective to support and shape ongoing business transformations
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, such as vendor contracts, NDAs, and partnership agreements.
• Assist with the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
• Identify and assess legal risks and provide proactive advice to mitigate those risks.
• Stay abreast of legal developments and regulatory changes relevant to the company's operations.
• Other:
• Manage, co-operate and oversee external legal counsel, as needed.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Provide training to employees on legal, privacy and compliance matters.
• Advise on data processing activities, data subject rights requests, and data breach response.
  

Qualifications & characteristics:

• Law degree.
• Experience with drafting and negotiating contracts.
• Experience with corporate law and corporate governance
• General knowledge of European and national privacy and data protection laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Sound judgement and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Pro-active and take responsibility
• Challenge status quo and solution-oriented.
  
  

Nice to haves:

• Experience as an in-house lawyer
• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) or other relevant privacy certification.
• Experience in the technology industry.
• Interest in data privacy and GDPR.
• Familiarity with employment law in Denmark or Poland.
