The Opportunity
The role of the Blended Account Manager (BAM) is field based and is responsible for securing new customer business (resulting from leads generated by MDEs and SDEs as well as self-generation), and for managing and growing existing customers (R, M and K categories). The BAM ensures continuity from initial engagement through to long-term partnership, driving growth across the customer lifecycle.

The Opportunity
The role of the Blended Account Manager (BAM) is field based and is responsible for securing new customer business (resulting from leads generated by MDEs and SDEs as well as self-generation), and for managing and growing existing customers (R, M and K categories). The BAM ensures continuity from initial engagement through to long-term partnership, driving growth across the customer lifecycle.
In This Role, You Will
- Take overall responsibility for driving sales growth across the full customer lifecycle — from acquiring new customers (outbound M & K, inbound R) to managing and expanding existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling.
- Proactively generate leads through cold calling, networking, attending trade shows, and collaborating with SDEs to target potential customers.
- Work collaboratively with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to ensure a consistent, high-quality service experience.
- Map customer organisations and identify key stakeholders across new and existing accounts.
- Prioritise and qualify sales opportunities based on commercial potential, customer fit, and strategic value.
- Prepare and deliver tailored, solution-oriented sales pitches and proposals in both face-to-face and virtual meetings.
- Collaborate with the Technical Service Team (TST) to define customer requirements, identify appropriate solutions, and prepare compelling proposals.
- Conduct follow-up meetings and respond to feedback with adjusted recommendations to secure buy-in and close sales.
- Lead face-to-face closing meetings and ensure a smooth handover of new customers to internal teams for onboarding and ongoing service.
- Conduct regular account management meetings to build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction, identifying additional opportunities, and mitigating risks.
- Provide support to Strategic, Key, and Regional Account Managers as needed across K, M, and R customers, particularly during closing and handover phases.
- Ensure all internal systems (CRM) and databases are updated in a timely and accurate manner.
- Actively participate in internal and external meetings where attendance is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- A proven track record in both new business development and skilled account development roles.
- A self-starter with a passion for proactively seeking out and winning new business.
- A proven track record of identifying key stakeholders and establishing strong working relationships.
- The ability to overcome objections and identify solutions to help secure the sale, while remaining diplomatic and trustworthy at all times.
- Strong prioritisation skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills (written and oral), with the ability to adjust style to the audience.
- Working knowledge of CRM systems.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- IT literate.
- A proven track record of sales negotiations and closing deals.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- A full clean driving licence.
- A working knowledge of the new-build process
- Previous experience of the industry
