The Operational Excellence Business Partner will be part of a newly established Operational Excellence department covering all functional areas at the Copenhagen Site, including Technical Operations, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Supply Chain. This position is responsible for facilitating and actively supporting both global and site-specific Operational Excellence initiatives.

Principal Responsibilties
- Responsible for setting the direction for the Lean projects in the pipeline.
- Identify, define, and execute improvement initiatives
- Initiate and develop business cases for improvement projects
- Create a pipeline of new innovative ideas for implementation
- Report and follow up on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Implement strategy and structure for core Lean elements (e.g., visual management, problem solving, waste identification)
- Analyze large data sets in Excel (or equivalent) to identify opportunities and drive fact-based decisions
- Build dashboards/visuals using Excel (or equivalent) to explain/communicate improvement impacts (e.g., process performance and identify opportunities for improvement)
- Partner closely with other areas to create recommendations on optimization opportunities
- Ensure ongoing improvements in our processes and procedures
- Act as systems thinker, business analyzer, barrier breaker and facilitator
- Provide project leadership and management (conceptualize, design, develop, communicate, and implement)
- Coach middle management as well as area leads on continuous improvement concepts and how to effectively implement and adopt them into their daily rhythm of business
- Coach, lead, and champion improvement ideals to help others along their Lean/continuous improvement journey
- Participate in the global Operational Excellence team with colleagues in similar roles at each site across the network and identify cross-collaboration opportunities
- Ensure training activities are available for colleagues to engage with and learn through the Lean initiatives
- Other duties as assigned.
- Communication skills: ability to communicate with management and peers effectively.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Expertise in statistical software (JMP, Minitab, etc.)
- Must be self-motivated, organized and proactive.
- Demonstrated ability to interface/communicate extensively with internal and external clients.
- Ability to coordinate multi-departmental tasks and deliverables (interaction with Process Development, Engineering, QA, QC, etc.).
- Proven experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships across departments (QA, Process Development, Project Management and Business Development) to support new processes and products.
- Demonstrated experience leading troubleshooting efforts.
- Ability to provide technical training to others on GMP manufacturing operations.
- Strong communication skills necessary to interact with internal stakeholders.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Expertise in relevant math, science, and engineering disciplines.
- BS / MS in natural science, engineering, operations or supply chain management or other related discipline preferred.
- 1-5 years of Lean experience, including identifying, managing, and driving process improvement efforts
- An understanding of API/QC/QA/SCM processes is strongly preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Green Certification strongly preferred
- Must have experience writing, reviewing, and approving GMP documentation.
- Advanced computer skills, including Excel and Word.
