About the job

As Head of Group Control, you will play a decisive role in supporting the growth ambitions of the business by creating standardized financial processes in a global setting and a high level of financial insight by developing and aligning the transactional accounting, controlling, statutory and tax reporting processes. You will report to – and be a valuable sparring partner to – the director of Finance, just as you will be for all tax, annual or general reporting questions from the entities.

The role

You will head our Group Control team consisting of 4 dedicated colleagues. The team is responsible for consolidation of our reporting entities, control framework, transfer pricing and overall financial policies. You will set the direction for the team through your motivating and inspirational leadership style. You are hands-on and have experience in navigating a global company with multiple reporting entities. You will be responsible for daily operations and for driving continuous improvements, including the development, implementation, and maintenance of reliable financial controls, reports, and processes.

More specifically, your main responsibilities will include:

• Leading, developing, and engaging with the local team
• Engaging with international teams
• Monthly financial group reporting and consolidation processes, ensuring consistent and accurate financial reporting across all entities
• Responsibility for the group annual report, including reconciliations to the auditor and coordination of external audits
• Responsibility for tax and transfer pricing documentation
• Ensuring compliance with Danish GAAP (ÅRL) as well as international accounting standards (local GAAP, IFRS)
• Developing and maintaining robust internal controls, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and streamlining processes

Qualifications

The preferred candidate comes with solid experience from an international company or a company with multiple reporting entities, where you have worked with consolidation on a group level. You could have an audit background or worked several years as a group financial controller. You are a superuser of MS Office and knowledge of SAP is an advantage, but not a requirement. Formal leadership experience is an advantage but not a requirement; however, you must be able to create results through others. Structuring, building, and driving process improvements is a natural interest of yours, where you have a proven track record. You have solid knowledge of international tax setup, transfer pricing as well as Danish GAAP standard (ÅRL). You are good at structuring tasks and keeping the bigger picture under pressure without losing focus on the details. We expect your professional background to be a master’s degree/HD within finance. Furthermore, you communicate professionally in English.

You have a positive, can-do attitude and take pride in communicating and explaining your own area of expertise to stakeholders and colleagues around you. Lastly, you need to have a keen interest in technical details as our products are complex and key to our success. Therefore, you need to be curious as well as intelligent.
