Automation Engineer / Senior Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Engineer / Senior Specialist to join our dynamic automation and technical team. You will play a crucial role in leading and participating in CAPEX projects related to automation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing support to our production and maintenance teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in CAPEX projects related to automation.

• Prepare User Requirement Specifications (URS) and Functional Specifications (FS), and manage subcontractors both financially and technically.

• Qualify and commission automation solutions, including conducting code reviews.

• Ensure compliance with NIS2D, GAMP5, and other OT system requirements.

• Provide support to production and maintenance teams in addressing automation challenges.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of Fertin’s technology, including creating the Automation Strategy and related standards, and selecting and auditing automation suppliers.

• Procure, test, and implement automation equipment and systems.

• Analyze, design, and implement optimization projects in collaboration with production and maintenance teams.

Qualifications:

• Relevant educational background in science, engineering, or a related field.

• Proven track record in a similar position, preferably within a comparable industry.

• Specialist knowledge of automation/OT (PLC, SCADA, MES) and familiarity with the AVEVA System Platform.

• Experience in programming PLCs, primarily Siemens Step7 and TIA Portal.

• Strong technical understanding of production processes and IT/system interconnections.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation within a GMP/food company, with experience in GAMP5.
